Trip Report
This is an easy peak, the Las Vegas version of Boise's Table Rock. There is a well defined path to the top and a lot of visitors. That said, I thought it was fun and scenic. The views of Las Vegas and the surrounding peaks were pretty impressive.
The hike is quick and steep. The trail has a bit of loose rock in spots, but in most areas it is solid rock you are on.
The trailhead is located just off a major road and is easy to find.

|
Getting There
Find the intersection of Alexander Road and Vegas Vista Trail. Turn onto Vegas Vista Trail (paved) and follow it to its end in .5 miles.
|
|
Hiking Directions
From the trailhead off Vegas Vista Road, simply follow the dirt path that leads to a wide trail that angles southeast up the peak. This brings you to a saddle that even has a bench and views of the city. Continue up the steep trail to the top of the peak.
