This was just a quick and easy hike in the Tucson area. I really enjoyed the views from this little peak. It has views of the entire Tucson area, but also stellar views of Saguaro National Park.

The route up the peak can be easy class 2, but you could ascend it more directly to make it more challenging class 3.

Keep in mind there are a lot of cacti and other thorned plants that will require you to maneuver around the slopes quite a bit to avoid cuts and scrapes.

Make your way to Contzen Pass on Picture Rocks Road. I accessed this road from Ina Road in the north Tucson area.

From the pass, there are small turnouts on both sides of the road. Park in the turnout.

I initially just hiked south toward the top, then cut left and came up the east face.
