I got of work a bit early. I rushed to the condo and was at the trailhead (north side of the entrance into Quigley Gulch) hiking by 4:30pm. I really just located the trail and trailhead by watching the masses. A nice trail went up to Point 6110.

The Big Wood Valley view from the point was superb. I continued to the saddle between Point 6110 and Point 6660. This was on a nice trail at first and then a game trail. This game trail continued to the top of Point 6660. I then followed the ridge line over to Hangman Peak (Peak 6882). There were nice views of the Boulders from the summit and the city of Ketchum... unfortunately, no Pioneer views were to be had, as peaks 8120 and 8169 to the northeast block the views from this shorter peak.

Despite the imperfect views, the peak still is a worthy outing. Be a bit careful near the trailhead. While there is a fence opening, a box for dog poo bags, and a sign saying "Stay on trail to avoid damage", there are "No Trespassing" signs only 50 feet away (didn't see them until I returned from a different direction. With the quality of the trail and the high number of people using it (dozens at 5pm on a weeknight in March), I am assuming it is all official.

I parked at a lot at the entrance to Quigley Canyon (on the north side of the canyon).

From the parking lot, I headed straight to the top of Point 6110 on a great trail. I then followed the ridge east to Point 6660. I then hiked to the summit of Hangman Peak (Peak 6882).
