My daughter hiking on a snow drift as we head towards Dollarhide Mountain's summit.
Trip Report (7/12/2003):
I took my daughter on a hiking/fishing/camping trip north of Fairfield. I figured hiking up Dollarhide Mountain from Dollarhide summit would be easy and enjoyable for her. It turned out to be quite fun.
This is a very easy hike, just make your way to Dollarhide summit via Warm Springs road out of Ketchum or the Big Smoky area north of Fairfield. Once at the summit, just follow the ridge north from the ridge on a jeep, then game trail.
The summit views aren't overly spectacular, but you can see the Boise, Soldier, and Pioneer peaks.
